What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They help the site remember certain information about your visit — such as whether you have accepted a notice or which language you prefer — so that you do not have to re-enter it each time.
Cookies do not execute programmes or carry viruses. They are simply text files stored by your browser, and most browsers allow you to view, delete, or block them through their settings.
We use a modest selection of cookies to keep this website functional and to better understand how visitors make use of our information pages.
Cookies We Use
Essential Cookies
Always activeThese cookies are necessary for the website to function. They handle basic tasks such as remembering your cookie preference and maintaining a stable browsing session. They cannot be turned off.
Examples: Cookie consent record, session continuity
Duration: Session or up to 12 months for consent records
Analytics Cookies
These help us understand how pages are used — which sections receive the most attention and where visitors typically navigate. This information is aggregated and anonymous; it guides how we organise our informational content.
Examples: Page view counts, session duration, navigation paths (Google Analytics)
Duration: Up to 24 months
Marketing Cookies
These cookies are placed by advertising platforms to help determine whether our informational content reached the right audience. They may connect your visit with data held by third-party services.
Examples: Facebook Pixel, Bing Ads conversion tracking
Duration: Up to 90 days
Preference Cookies
These remember choices you make — such as your preferred language or region — so that the site feels consistent between visits. They do not track activity across other websites.
Examples: Language selection, display preferences
Duration: Up to 12 months
Third-Party Services
Some cookies are set by services we use to understand site usage or to reach people who may find our information evenings useful. These third parties have their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — aggregated usage data. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
- Meta (Facebook) Pixel — reach measurement for our informational content. Governed by Meta's Data Policy.
- Microsoft Clarity / Bing Ads — audience measurement on the Microsoft Advertising network.
We do not sell your data to any of these services. They receive only the information required for the specific purpose described above.

Persistent Cookies
